Elise has worked in private secondary schools since 2010 starting at Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, MI where she began her journey working in student affairs and support services prompting her to earn a M.S.Ed. in School Counseling from Purdue University. There, she completed an assistantship at the university’s career center, counseled high school students in the local area in their social and emotional development, and supervised a summer residential program for gifted youth. She then made a change and moved out east to work for Eagle Hill School in Hardwick, MA, a private boarding school for students with learning differences, serving students as a residential counselor, academic advisor, and teacher in the pragmatics and social justice departments. Elise came to Wolcott College Prep in the fall of 2018 to continue her work with students with learning differences, serving as an advocate for their needs and guiding them toward success both in and out of the classroom. Elise is a Nationally Certified Counselor with additional undergraduate degrees in Theater and English from Northern Illinois University. In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga & boxing, serving her church community at People Church Chicago, volunteering at PAWS Chicago and spending time with her dog and cat.
